nAOMI SATTERFIELD

Graduate Researcher

Naomi is a PhD student in Health Behavior at the Indiana University School of Public Health, Bloomington. She received her Master of Public Health degree in Behavioral, Social, and Community Health within the same school. Her research interests are the role of social support in communities with exposure to traumatic stress, suicide, and informal mental health interventions. She is also interested in exploring the impacts of colonization on research and science, as well as the use of mixed methods and photovoice. She has experience as a mental health clinician specializing in health coaching and suicide prevention for individuals with Serious Mental Illness and co-occurring disorders.
